Hello all,
I am interested in connecting with Nigerian Nurses who have successfully gone through the Canadian Nursing Registration/Licensing and Immigration procedures to become registered Nurses in Canada.
I would also like to connect with LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) and NAs (Nursing Assistants).
I have successfully completed the tedious processes and have secured a job in Canada. I want to connect with other nurses who have done same to hear your stories.
If you are still in the process please connect with me as well. We can help each other.
Thank you.

Could you please share how the process was for you?
I'm looking to apply soon, after I take IELTS. I trained in Nigeria but I live and work as an RN in the UK now.
How did your Nigerian General Nurse Training compare with the Canadian one?
Hi Mercykay, I'm also looking at Ontario. Have you applied to NNAS yet?
Hi,
You have to apply to nnas then choose which province you want to registered with, then summitt all your requirement, did you trained in U K as a nurse? I applied to nnas already summit all the requirement waiting fot their decision soon.

No I trained in Nigeria. I did the ONP when I moved here. I would really love to know how your assessment goes. Cos I reckon I'd be judged with my first line training when I apply which is more in line with Canadian syllabi. Or I may be wrong. Please keep me posted. How can we get in touch? Are you in Nigeria?
Am in canada l will keep posted .

Hi
Thank you for connecting Nigerian Nurses in Canada.
I just completed my NNAS assessment. It is not comparable to Canadian standard, but somewhat to lpn. Still looking at which province will be better to register with and to settle.
I am currently in PEI.
Sorry for that CNO is always like that but you can try british Columbia is ok but they require English.
