Info/Experience request: University of Queensland?

Hi Everybody,

I've recently found that the University of Queensland offers a direct entry master's program, for those with a bachelor's degree in any other field.

Can anybody share what they know about the quality of education that this school offers? Anything about the degree program?

I'm an Australian citizen, but have lived in the states most of my life. This program looks very good to me and I would be willing to relocate for it.

UQ is a good university, one of the best in Australia. My studies there were unrelated to nursing so I couldn't tell you about the quality of that particular program.

The direct entry master's they offer is pretty much equivalent to the nursing graduate entry bachelor degree at Griffith uni that I start in a couple of weeks. It's two years of study, you get your nursing license. Don't know why UQ calls it a Master's, but I suspect it is because they can collect higher tuiton fees.

Most universities around Brisbane offer similar programs, look into QUT, Griffith, ACU.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay writing back.

I appreciate your input re: University of Queensland. I also checked out the link to your school, looks like a good program. I didn't find tuition rates, but U of Q costs about $5k per year for the master's program I mentioned, which seems more than fair to me.

Also, thanks for recommending the other Brisbane area school to look at, I've done that as well.
