Hi,

I am interested to know any agency or consultancy that help Filipino nurses in processing papers for Canada. Anyone who migrated to Canada..pls tell me whats your suggestions or recommendations. And is the Canadian Visa can be use in entering the U.S territory or not? And how about the IELTS..is it GT? I heard about it that the new required IELTS is GT..pls. inform me if ever you know. Thanks. Any other inputs about Canadian Immigration will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There are plenty of threads discussing Canada. You do not need to use an agency and all relevant forms plus instructions on what to do are on the CIC website. You will need to pass IELTS for the province college of RN's which is usually Academic but will state on their website. You need to decide which route you are going to apply for PR or TWP, processing times are slightly different however PR is taking less than 12 months for most people (that may vary on country)

Just having a Canadian work permit doesn't mean you can get into the US OK, if you require a visa to enter the US then that will still be a requirement a Canadian visa is just for Canada as is a US visa is just for the US

You need to research your province of choice and make sure that jobs are available, if you check out the Canadian forum you will see a big thread discussing current issues in Alberta, you will need to apply to the province college of RN's and once you have eligibility to sit CRNE you can then look for a employer. Most employers will be aware of IEN's so aware of what paperwork they have to provide.

A friend told me that the agency asked her an IELTs which is a GT but she also applied for immigrant visa. Is it really Academic or GT for the IELTs?

Is it possible to start processing for visa while still completing the 1 year hosp. experience? thanks

I would suggest you check out the province college of RN's as it will state there what they require. Immigration only requires general but usually nurses are required to have Academic and even if you have GT if the college requires Academic then you will have to pay to have it done so better to go for the higher one rather than pay twice
