home exchange with nurse

Hi, my husband and I are hoping to go to England (preferably Kent) from Brisbane Australia in July 2006 and return Jan 2007 (12 months also an option). I have searched the common home swap sites and found little in the way of long term swaps. As many nurses use the freedom our profession offers to travel during their careers I thought I might see what you all think??

I put my stuff in storage, left the white goods in the house and rented the house out. I initally considered a swap but like you, found nothing on the web plus no one wants to come to Western Australia anyway.

I had to send money home for rates and mortgage shortfall plus storage but it was doable. I sent 2750 pounds home to cover that with some to pay the credit card as well and managed okey. That was over a 9 month period. I was still able to travel lots but lived in a house share which is good, makes the experience enjoyable and it's okey when you shift work as you don't see your house mates every day.

The nursing work is okey, I didn't like it at first conditions ect and was looking forward to going home but now want to go back. I have 2 weeks to make a decision :uhoh21:
