Frustrated...moving to the US?

Hi:

I am an RN with 6 years experience - mostly PACU and ER. Upon graduating I moved to Galveston, Texas for 2 years. It was a great experience but moved home to Ontario (was promised lots of work - full time jobs). It's now 4 years later and I'm still working part-time (full-time hours but no benefits, vacation, etc.). I probably could get a full-time job but it would be on the floors from hell. I am serioulsy thinking about moving back to the US either Florida or California. Can anyoine recommend some good cities/ hospitals to check out in these states? Anyone have any info/experience about Palm Springs, California?

What are some good recruitment companies to work with. :)

Hi,

I'm originally from Toronto and I've worked in the states for a few years now. I just got a call regarding a Nurse Residency Program for foreign-born nurses who are licensed in the U.S. Sounds similar to a physician's residency - work/study. The money is very good - better than travel jobs I've been offered - and they cover housing. They said you can do the residency anywhere in the U.S. If you are have your U.S. license, you might want to check them out. I think the number is 800-788-5911. Anyway, good luck and definately come back to the U.S.! I'm working in California and it's 85 degrees here!
