Foreign Nurse - What to do after passing NCLEX?

Hello, everyone! I just found out on Sunday that I passed my NCLEX for New York State but now I am clueless at what step to take next. I hold a British Passport as a child because my mom is a nurse in the UK and lived with her for 3 years. I finished a BSN degree in the Philippines on 2013, passed the PNLE on December of the same year, had two months hospital experience on 2014 as I had to look after my grandmother after my grandfather died (I lived with them while I was studying nursing). I then came back to the UK in 2015 and decided to apply for NCLEX and while I was preparing to take it, I got a healthcare assistant job in a nursing home, worked there for a year. I am currently working as an agency healthcare assistant in various hospitals here.

I did some research and realised it would be difficult for me to find a US agency to sponsor me for a visa because I was lacking experience as a nurse. I have a close aunt in New Jersey but I have read that they are not qualified to sponsor me. A friend of mine who is a RN in NY, advised to me to obtain a student visa. Does that mean I have to take a RN refresher course?

I hope somebody could advice me what options I could take because I am very worried right now and I don't want to give up this dream of mine. Thank you.

student visa will not help you live and work in the US. To get a student visa you must be in full-time education. SO what are you going to do

Where were you born If the Philippines then once you have found an employer willing to go the immigrant route you are looking at approx 4 yar wait for a visa.

Thank you for replying. I was born in the Philippines, moved to UK when I was 11 then went back to PH to finish my studies.

How would you recommend me to search for an employer? My aunt is also helping me find but I don't want to bother her.

All you can do is contact hospitals in the areas you want to live and work in and ask if they will sponsor

What is the reason you are working in the UK as healthcare assistant rather than a RN?

NMC is looking for at least 2 years of experience from the country where I graduated, I believe. My plan had always been to practice in the US...
