I am considering trying the online RN-BSN program and have looked at several schools. I think I have narrowed it down to two schools, Indiana State University or University of Southern Indiana. Anyone out there that has completed or currently enrolled in either program? I would appreciate any comments whether they be good or bad. Thanks in advance.

I also looked into both of those programs for an RN-BSN program, but I decided to do the RN-BSN program through Indiana Wesleyan University. It is a little more expensive, but I'm happy with my decision. I had already applied and been accepted to USI, but I didn't think their admission director or other staff members were helpful. I always felt like I was pulling teeth to get information. Indiana Wesleyan was the complete opposite. The admissions department updated me via email regularly when they received a transcript and kept me posted on what was still needed. They gave me a checklist which was very helpful. I also like their program because once you are accepted into the program, you don't have to register for classes and they mail you your textbooks one week prior to classes. This is great because you don't have to try and order your books or figure out which ones you need. If you have any questions or if I can be of any help let me know.

Well I use to go to Indiana State University, loved the program (it's great, really!) but I got home sick so I came home and got my LPN at Ivy Tech (Fort Wayne). Well good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I am working on an RN-MSN program through USI, have been enrolled for about 3 years. I have nothing but good things to say about the advisors and other staff I have dealt with. I have not attended campus for a single class, and they bend over backwards to assist you in any way possible. I have been challenged by the classes, and feel as though most assignments are applicable to every day life (in my nursing classes, anyway). They also hooked me up with the INdiana COllege Network to find distance courses for undergrad classes they don't offer through distance ed.
