TEAS Results

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hello. I recently took the TEAS exam and I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad with my score. I'm trying to get into a school that is near my house and it isn't the most prestigious school, but still a school nonetheless. Here is the results

Adjusted individual Total Score: 71.3%

ATI academic preparedness: Proficient

Mean National- 64.3%

Mean Program- 70.6%

Percentile Rank National- 69

Percentile Rank Program- 50

I wouldn't mind some harsh criticism and would love to compare if you would like to share your score.

I can tell you that the only thing that matters is if the school you choose picks you up or not. It all depends on your overall competition and how many applicants the school has. In retrospect, by the time you finish a nurisng program, those scores will change considerably if you can maintain your studies and get the most out of your clinical practicums. I think my scores were comparable, but I don't remember exactly, and by the time I took my NCLEX predictor test, I scored a 93% chance of passing first time. I did wind up passing NCLEX my first time and was totally freaked because my computer did not shut off at the 75 Q mark. Have faith in yourself and decide how badly you want this now, because it does not come easy for everyone.

I'm applying to a private school. I know private schools have smaller applicant pools so I am really hoping to have that help me.

If u don't mind me asking, what private school are u applying to?

I attend North Park University (graduating this December! Finally!) and my adjusted individual total score was 87.1% with my percentile rank at 90. If I remember correctly, the TEAS cut off for my year was 73%, but I just heard that they lowered the minimum threshold.

You just have to remember that TEAS is only one part of your application. If you have a good GPA and good recommendations, then that should help balance out a low TEAS score. I know that my school goes through each and every candidate and looks at all factors.

Hope that helps!

It does help! Thank you
