Endorsement/reciprocity

Hello fellow nurses,

I have a question. I am a registered nurse but I have not had any working experience as an RN yet since graduation (2009). I took my NCLEX-RN exam in Hawaii for California license. I passed and realized I wanted to stay in Hawaii so I applied for Hawaii license thru endorsement. My California license expired and I decided not to renew anymore, but my HI license is still active. I am moving to Illinois in MAy and was wondering if any of you have experience applying for license endorsement from another state to Illinois. I am a foreign graduate (Philippines), not licensed there. What are the requirements and do I have to take refresher courses since I lack experience and it has been 5 years? Also, I have read that they require Philippine license? do I have to go back home and take the NLE? I need your help and opinion, please. :) ugh, sometimes I feel like giving up and move on to another career but a part of me just says I was born to be a nurse and that I should stick to it and to keep trying.
