im a lpn and i am looking to move to chicago. can anyone give me some good paying nursing homes to try to apply to in chicago? im planning to move there once my lease is up but im not going to move without a job. so i want to start doing some research on the nursing homes there as soon as possible even though i have a while. i want to move to the lincoln park/ lakeview areas so i dont want to have to drive too far being that its a new place for me but if i have to i defin. will. thanks in advance!!

I wish I could help however I'm not sure about good paying nursing homes on the North Side of Chicago. I do have a friend whose an LPN (5 years) and she works at a Suburban nursing home and does private care.....income was 150K for the past few years. Yes, she most definitely picked up extra shifts. Two other LPN's in my class made between 70 and 80K last year. Not much for some however a great start. Both are in there 2nd year of nursing. One in hospice the other in LTC.

Best wishes.

You are more than welcome.

Also I meant to write, " ...a friend who's not whose an LPN." My apology.
