Any suggestions for specific brands / models of thermometer & BP cuffs? I'll be starting on my own soon, and will need my own equipment, but I know some brands are better / more reliable than others.

I looked on Amazon and found a ton to choose from. Any suggestions?

Here are the thermometers I found on Amazon:

Also, what type do you use: ear, temporal artery? I definitely won't be using an oral one, but want to make sure the one I get is reliable.

TIA!

Your home care agency should provide you with BP cuff and thermometers for patient care along with basic supplies CPR mask, PPE (personal protective equipment): gown, masks, gloves, isogel, paper towels; sterile dressings/Ace wrap, foley cath tray, blood collection equipment etc....each company has different standards.

I did use tympanic thermometer with my first homecare agency. Some companies temp dots, others use electronic thermometer with plastic sleeves.

If they don't supply BBP cuff or bandage scissors, I've found Hopkins Medical had some of the best prices for quality equipment...stethescope is 20+yrs old, just replace ear tips and diaphragm.

Clarification: I was told the onlyequipment I needed to purchase for myself was a stethoscope (which I already have), thermometer, and BP cuff. Everything else WILL be provided by the agency.
