Are there any LVN HH nurses around? Do you mind giving me a heads up on:

1. How long you usually spend with each pt?

2. How often do you visit?

3. What types of treatments do you do?

4. Does your visits also include doing personal care is, bathing, feeding, laundry etc.

5. How many pts. do you see per day.

6.I love wound care....do HH nurses do a lot of wounds.

Hi, pnk. I'm in Texas and have been working HH for about a year.

1. How long you usually spend with each pt? Minimum 30 minutes, of course this time can vary by the complexity of the case.

2. How often do you visit? That depends on the schedule.

3. What types of treatments do you do? wound care, cath changes, venipuncture....

4. Does your visits also include doing personal care is, bathing, feeding, laundry etc. no, if needed, those services are provided by a home health aide.

5. How many pts. do you see per day. 5-8

6.I love wound care....do HH nurses do a lot of wounds. Our agency does not do BID wound care, but we have seen decubs, stasis ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds.
