Did anyone have to retake the Hesi over again if so was the reading comprehension stories the same? And was the math and a&p the same?

I retook the HESI and quite honestly I don't remember if the questions were the same or not the second time around but it is very unlikely that ALL of your questions would be the same because there is such a large bank of questions. I would focus more on understanding the material, which would help you be able to answer any of the questions in a given topic. If you are struggling with reading comprehension I would suggest taking TOEFL practice tests. For math what is in the Elsevier book is the type of problems you need to know to do. This is also important once you get into a nursing program and go through dosages so I would suggest really mastering this section. Make sure you a solid on working with fractions and conversions! As far as A&P this section is so broad because A&P covers so much and it is really important to have a solid understanding of this for a nursing program as well. Once you get in they except you know and remember this stuff so there is no review in class. For A&P just studying the Elsevier book is not enough so if you recently took A&P I would suggest reviewing your textbook. Hope that helps!

Hi, MinneNurse2b. Do u think the test was hard the second time or about the same? That's what worries me I did really good on the a&p and math but I did not practice the reading comprehension and got an 74 and needed an 75 í ½í¸“

I would say the test was the same level the second time around. I try not to call it hard or easy because I feel like those terms apply more to individuals rather than the overall test itself (some people say its easy, others say its hard.) I did not retake all the sections, I only did Chemistry, A&P, and Reading Comp my second time. For the reading comp I studied the Elsevier book a bit but I also took a lot of TOEFL practice exams online. I found those to be the most helpful especially because there are hundreds of different ones out there so you aren't redoing the same practice exam over and over like you would for the HESI book. I think they helped, the second time around I got a 94%. My biggest piece of advice other than study study study is try and relax. I understand that is difficult but if you need to take a moment before starting the exam to just breath do that! Carefully read the questions and if you are allowed pencil paper write down important parts of each paragraph if you think that would help you. And get lots of rest the night before :) Good luck!

Ok. Thank u so much I appreciate your response. And I will be using that website for practice

Do you always have to retake the entire exam again? Or only the sections you would like to improve on?

I took it once already and mainly just need to redo math and A&P. My scores were 80's but I'd like to improve them.
