I am preparing for the HESI entrance exam for practical nurses.

I am studying from several different books, math, chemistry, biology and medical terminology.

Am I doing to much? Is there a particular area to focus on? Where can I get a study guide?

Help!!!

I say just relax, study as much as you can, while being generous on the amount of time you give yourself to take breaks and consume all you've studied. There's no right or wrong way! But do as many practice questions! Also get the hesi exam prep, worked well for me! Good luck, you'll do amazing!

Thanks. I'm trying study different materials. My admissions counselor keeps telling me I'll do fine also; but I've heard that test was intense. I don't want to over study. But whatever it takes....

I feel a little more at ease now. I'm going to buy the study guide.

I am starting Nursing School in a couple of months and I am scared of the HESI there is so much to study. Are there any web sites that might help? I am not that strong in the Math department.

Keep in mind, these standardized exams are in place for the school to gauge how well the students will perform on the N-CLEX exam. For universities and colleges, the passing rate is everything as it determines the future of their program! These exams are meant to determine whether a student or graduate has MINIMAL knowledge to provide SAFE care to a general patient. Focus on the big stuff your instructors have knocked into your head through the program and remember to keep breathing! Most people who enter nursing school graduate and most nursing school graduates pass certification.
