Failed My Hesi

Nursing Students HESI

Published

I took my Hesi Entrance Exam for the second time and made a 72 on my Anatomy. I studied the Elsevier book and, not a single thing on my Hesi was talked about in the book.My advisor still suggested that I submit my nursing application however, I am so scared. I cannot take it again for two years! I've fought so hard to get here and, now I feel totally helpless, like all my work and time spent pouring over these books has been wastds.Has anyone else gotten in with scores lower than what was required? I've seen a few of these but, the threads are really old.

this will really depend on the school and the applicant pool that you are competing against -- if you only missed their minimum score by a point or two and they have available seats then you may stand a chance.. if you scored below the minimum and they have candidates that they are above the minimum requirements that they don't have enough seats for, then you'll get denied.

At this point you may even start to consider other options since you know that you'll know that you can't apply to this specific program for another 2 years in the event that you don't get in... Are there any other programs in your area that you could test for (either this year or next), are there any LVN programs that you could complete an then do an LVN-RN transition program? Could you possibly move to widen your search area? Just some food for thought --

Best of luck.

I originally wanted to go ahead and get my BSN but, we moved and I have a small daughter and felt that it was better that I get my associates so that I can go back to work ASAP.I passed every part but, the Anatomy section.I've taken Anatomy 1 and even bought the Elsevier study guide but, there was not a single question from that book on there.I missed it by 6 points but, with that being said, the original deadline was in February but, because of so many empty spots, they extended the deadline until July 17th.I won't be completely heart broken if I don't get accepted because I am expecting it and will just continue to pursue my BSN but, there is still a little hope that I have a chance.
