KCC ADN Spring 2017

U.S.A. Hawaii

Published

Hi everyone!

I am planning to submit an application for KCC's ADN program for Spring 2017. I am just waiting to finish my Pharm 203 over the summer before putting my app in.

My stats aren't too good

Teas - 80.7

Pre-req - 1 B and the rest are A

Co-req - A in humanities, pending on Pharm 203

Health-related exp - been working as a CMA for 2.5 years. With a current CNA certification. Last CNA exp about 2-3 years ago.

I am going to meet with a counselor sometime next month just to kinda see my standing. But I am wondering how everyone's stats look like. Kindly post, if you don't mind.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Oh okay. I just got home. No letter for me.

I'll just go to the orientation, nonetheless

When is your health clearance due btw?

Is there a dress code for the orientation?

No, don't think so

No dress code that I am aware of. My health requirements are due on the 22nd.

Orientation is this Friday, right?

Hi Lymm13

I'm applying for spring 2018. My stats aren't as great as yours. Did you get accepted into the program?

Hey guys just wanted to say good luck to you all. I went to KCC for my lpn and just graduated this spring for lpn-rn transition. My experienced at KCC, stats wasn't that good but since the transition program wasn't not as competitive as the ADN, i got in and glad i chose the long route.

Sabs123- sorry about the late response. Yes, thank God, I got in. I am going for my second semester on the 21st. Whats your stats like? Oh. I think they added some more requirements for admission so check that out too to see if you need more classes before you apply.

Faith808RN- congratulations. I had a co worker who took the same route as you. Are you going for the RN to BSN transition too?

Does the LPN-RN take that long? Or would it be the same time frame as if you had gotten accepted into the ADN program? I want to consider this option as an alternative route just in case but if it does take a little more time like a year behind ADN then I'll probably apply to other nursing programs even outside the state.
