Thinking about becoming a Navy nurse. What is it like?

Hi,

I am currently a sophomore in college to become a nurse. Recently, I have been thinking about joining the Navy as a nurse. I have a few questions. What is it like? Would I be able to work with Marines? (My brother is thinking about joining the Marines and I would like to be on the same base with him, weather in the States or in another county) How similar is it to being a civilian nurse? I have also thought about the Air Force as a nurse. What are the main differences? Thanks for your help!

Many of your questions have been asked and answered many times in this forum - do a bit of browsing and searching and you'll find them. As far as being stationed where you'd like, once you're in the military, you go where they need you, not where you choose. While dual military married couples get some consideration, siblings do not.

Good luck in the remainder of your program! Keep your grades up, the military is intensely competitive and GPA matters.
