Nurse Practitioner in the VA or army/airforce?

Is anyone here an NP in the VA or with the DOD? I have applied for a couple of positions with both the VA and DOD jobs in the army and air force. I was hoping to get some feedback for those NPs who have worked in these positions.

Is they pay ok? Looking at the listings it seems the pay is lower than I would expect. I am a MSN- NP with 1 year experience as well as 3 years RN experience. I am wondering with the VA where I would fall as far as the nurse I, II, III and if pay would be comparable to what I am making now (110k). I know benefits are awesome, so that's a big factor.

Any info anyone can provide would be so appreciated.
