I was wondering when should I start talking to a recruiter?

I wouldn't start talking to an OFFICER recruiter (make sure you're talking to an officer recruiter!!!) until you've found out you have been accepted to nursing school. You have to have your BSN to be a navy nurse. The program you want is called Nurse Candidate Program. Once you've been accepted to nursing school, call a Navy Medical OFFICER recruiter. Don't talk to a Navy enlisted recruiter. They'll tell you to go be a corpsman first. If you really want to be an RN, don't do it. If you go to the Navy website you can find links to the medical/officer programs where they have a form you can fill out for more info and contact information.

Is it better to try to get into ROTC or to finish school then sign up?

I know ROTC has age limits, not sure what your age is, but check into that. I went back to school at 28 and was too old for ROTC.

Is there any kind of prejudice to them taking prior service? You'll get more pay as an officer if you were enlisted for more than 4 years before becoming an officer. Other than that, it doesn't matter if you're prior or not.

I know the Army has a married couples program/joint domicile to try to keep spouses together, is it the same for Marine-Navy couple? If so do they generally get stationed together? Would the Navy take that into account when assigning my first duty station, or would I have to wait for my second duty station to request the duty station my husband is at/going to? They try to keep married couples together. It shouldn't be too difficult since your hubby is a Marine. Navy nurses and docs take care of Marines at all of their duty stations.

Is the only training a Navy nurse gets before their first duty station the 5 weeks at RI? Yes, 5 weeks at Officer Indoctrination School in Rhode Island. That's it! No basic training. It's not bad, and I wasn't prior.
