Navy Nurse

Hello, I am currently completing my BSN-RN program. I have about a year and a half left before finishing. I've had this epiphany on becoming a Navy Nurse and I am debating on whether it would be the best route for me or not. I truly admire what I have read about others experiences on joining the Navy as nurses; however, I'm still clueless on everything about it. Will you please feed me as much information as possible? I don't speak the "military talk" so there are many things I don't know such as ranking. I spoke to a recruiter; however, she mostly shared her experiences with me and told me to start with the NCP and mentioned something about a five week training in RI. How does this whole process work? What advice could you give me to make this decision? Can you give me some guidance on what to do, what to research for, and anything else I should know before making a decision. As of right now, I only know that joining the navy changes your life. And the experiences are very different compared to civilian nurses. I don't really understand the whole salary thing and the sign on bonuses and how Navy nurses get paid. Is it true that if you join, they will pay for your school loans? Or how does that work? Do I need to graduate first before joining or signing any paperwork? I'm sorry for organization of this post on how it's kind of all over the place, but I appreciate your answers. Please help me, thank you in advance!
