I am a pre-nursing student who is about to apply to accelerated nursing program in fall. Is there anyone out there that may have an email address for a medical recruiter in NYC? I really need some questions answered before I decide to head down to a recruiters office first so any help would be appreciated!

I hear somebody calling me???!!!! I'm a Naval Medical Officer recruiter, Working for NRD NY. How can I help you?

Hello! I just wanted to knowif I can start the application even though I am not in a nursing program yet. I am applying in fall this year to start the program in summer 2015. I am eligible for accelerated program so I will be graduating in 2016. What would help my chances to get accepted? Anything advice to better my chances would be appreciated!

First of all, you need to make sure that whatever school you are applying for is accredited by NLNAC or CCNE, and that you are enrolled as full time student. unfortunately any degree that is completed ON-LINE is not accepted by the Navy under current directives, it sounds by your description like you have been accepted from a 2 year college into an accelerated program? Also what school have you been accepted to? What was your GPA in the other school? There are many recruiters like myself in your area, usually we work by zip codes. I recommend going to NAVY.COM and filling up an application/contact form, based on the zip code someone close to you will be contacting you. hope it helps!
