Future AN questions

I am new to writing in this site, however not new to reading all the great posts. I am a soon to be graduate with BSN and joining the ANC as soon as possible after. I recently passed MEPS and go in front of boards this month. I had some general questions I wanted to throw out there and see if anyone had any insight:

- If I plan on going the FNP route, what is the area to specialize in (OB, psych, ER, ICU, public health)? Should I ask to be in a certain part of the hospital upon entering (after the med-serg initiation)?

- What are the roles of an Army Nurse while deployed? Any patrol work? Any flight medic work? Are there flight nurses while deployed?

- My recruiter tells me all about the many types of nurses you can be. Where can I find a list of these, besides the ones on every army website?

- What does "The Army only recognizes a FNP" mean? So any other type of NP is out of the question?

I am REALLY looking forward to joining and beginning this journey God has set forth for me! I hope to hear a few things from people who are informed more than I! Thank you for your time!!!

In general the only NPs that the military recogonizes is the FNP, PNP, and WHNP. Then as far as advanced practice nurses they also recogonize CRNAs, Midwives, some CNSs, and they are starting to recogonize RNFA.
