Does board= obligation

Specialties Government

I am considering submitting a packet to go active duty Army as an NP. I am curious if submitting a packet for the board makes you obligated or if you are able to decline if you are not happy with the results. My husband works for the federal government and he does not have the option of moving so duty station of choice is important. I am prior service so I know enough not to trust the recruiter 100%. Thanks!

No being picked up by the board is not an obligation. If you are picked up by the board wait until you recieve your orders before doing any oath of office if possible. Then there is no issue then since you did not do a oath of office to begain with.
