I am currently applying to the ancp program and was wondering if anyone could give me information about possible getting my masters after I am stationed. How can this be done if I can be done?

Army nurse candidate program

Ah, I checked the website.

I guess it depends on what your masters would be in. I mean you can get your masters online depending on what it is and alot of folks use their G.I. Bill to help pay it or Tuition Assistance or in combination.

Another way is if it is through Long Term Health Education and Training where you submit an application for a specific program the Army has such as FNP, CRNA, CNS or whatever. Usually they have requirements. For example you may have to be 1LT and promotable, time on station, or minimum GRE score. Each program would of course add on time to your service obligation if you get picked up.

But I guess if your looking to go to LTHET immediately after being stationed somewhere you probably won't due to some of these requirements.

Your question was kind of broad and I tried to answer it with what I know.

hope this helps.

Thank you sorry for the broad question. I was wanting information about the military sending a person to school or using tuition assistants. And you answered that Thank you
