Hey everyone! I have applied for the Air Force NTP and will find out if I made it in July. I've had my interview and now its just the waiting game. I was wondering if any of you could tell me what to expect at COT, the chances of getting into this program (I know it's really competitive), and what life is like with Air Force nursing vs civilian nursing? Thanks!

I graduate this Friday, plan on taking NCLEX in early September, then hope to leave for COT sometime in October. Have you taken your NCLEX yet?

Yeah, I took it the beginning of June:) I graduated in May and started a job on a med-surg floor a couple days after I took the NCLEX. congrats on graduating on Friday! Hopefully we will know by then... you said on the other ntp page that you are going to school in Alabama, right?

Thanks, and congrats to you too! Yes, I go to the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Are you familiar?

No I don't know too much about Alabama, haha I'm from Utah.

Haha oh ok. I need them to go on and announce! Do you know if they'll email results or does your recruiter call you?

My recruiter said he would call me with the results, I haven't spoken with him since the 28th when the results were scheduled to be released. He's been great at keeping me updated the whole process... I'm thinking of giving him another call to see if he's heard anything. I've also been looking over the articles from last years NTP application process and it looks like a lot of them did not hear the results until around August 13th. I'm guessing we will find out soon! haha I'm just excited to know what I'll be doing for the next couple years of my life, regardless of if I get in or not. Oh and congrats on graduating today!

Oh gosh the waiting is the worst! I keep checking my email every few minutes... and thanks, I'm glad undergrad is finally over!

I called my recruiter yesterday to check, still no word...this waiting is really killing me!!
