Would you lose your license?

I have a questions regarding Medicatino Aides.

What if the medication-aide gives the wrong med, over medicates, etc. and you're the charge nurse. Would I ran the chance of losing my license if they make a mistake?

On our unit there are two charge nurses (one for each wing) and ONE medication aide. If they give the wrong med to say one of my patients, what happens to them? Me?

Let me know

Dave

Hi Dave...unfortunately, we can't give legal advice. Not every state has CMA's so their scope of practice is governed by the BON. I would advise that you contact them and/or a lawyer. Good luck.
