i was very happy to see how nurses understand and appreciatte us. lindas comment on cnas in the topic advice for a new nurse really stood out. sometimes, working short or has it is referred to "challenged", it is tough. i came across this site while surfing the net and now,. its bookmarked. i am pleased that nurses understand because with all the rough days we have, its nice to know we are appreciatted.

I did not see the post you refer to. I will look for it thought. I justs wanted to say you are greatly appreciated. I was a CNA and I knew I had an important job. I just never truly realized how very critical it was. We (nurses) cannot do OUR job without you. There are not enough hours in a day and we don't have enough arms and legs to do it ourselves. We know you are frazzled, over worked under paid. We see you scurring down to hall to answer Mr. Smith's light for the 50th time in nearly as many minutes. Some how you still manage to acomplish everything. We don't tell you this enough. Probably because we are so rushed ourselves. One CNA tole me I know I'm appreciated because on days when there is no CNA the nurses find out what she does. Well on behalf of all nurses I thank you a thousand times. Nursing would go down the tube without you.

I too appreciate the CNA's I have. sometimes I forget to tell them.

I worked as a CNA prior to nursing school. I know well the challenges and the work load my CNA's have to deal with on a daily basis. Though I truely appreciate them, sometimes I do forget to tell them so. I know I could not do my work effectively if not for the CNA's. Thanks for all you do!!
