transfer to Georgia State Nursing Program

U.S.A. Georgia

Hello,

My name is Leslie, I have recently got accepted into chamberlain college of nursing for the BSN program at the Atlanta campus but there really expensive so I've been looking for something else I can do. I'm planning to stay only a semester and then transfer out to another nursing program in GA that is not private and takes HOPE since chamberlain does not. I wanted to know what schools accept credits from chamberlain's nursing program and let you transfer into there nursing program? Also I've been looking at Georgia State University and was wondering if they allow you to transfer into there nursing program from another nursing program? Any advice would really help! Thanks!

I'm not certain about transfer requirements with Chamberlain BUT why not focus your time on applying to other schools and getting accepted? I would hate for u to start chamberlain, being it's so expensive, with no intention on staying. It would REALLY suck if u went and nothing transferred at all. Total waste of thousands of dollars

State will not take your nursing courses and you will have to restart within the program. I'm fairly sure this hasn't changed since I was there a year ago. So, yes, you can transfer, but you will have to start over.

To be honest I dont know of any nursing school that accept transfer from one nursing program into their nursing programs. However, there are schools that you can do your pre-requisites for the first 2 yrs and join the nursing program (BSN) beginning in the junior yr. That being said, I think its a waste of time and money to start a program with the intention of attending only for a semester. Maybe you can take the standard classes at a community college(psychology, english, math, A & P, sociology etc) see how well you do and take it from there. Just curious-is Chamberlain the only program you applied to ?
