Im desperately looking for work her in Ga until my license get approved...while i need money first to submit them...I heard you can work as long as its a government or federal job...have anyone else heard this ? im a new LPN

Yes. that is true. http://www.usajobs.gov BUT, as someone who works for the Feds I can tell you applying, interviewing and hiring take MONTHS so if you need something with a few weeks or so you will either have to get your nursing license or temp nursing license for GA or work outside the nursing profession until you receive it. I applied in Nov of 2011, was interviewed in Dec 2011, found out I was selected as the candidate of choice in Jan 2012 and from there it took until March 2012 to get into orientation. The Feds are NOT as fast as the private sector. I know the VA is looking for LPN's in Augusta and Atlanta. There are other positions in other places I'm sure. Your NY license would have to be current of course and w/o restriction. you may also be able ot find a non-clinical position in a doctors office or long term care facility. Good luck
