How can this ASN soon-to-be grad find her place in ATL's nursing world??
- 0Mar 14 by ALGA82Hi All! I am graduating this May with my ASN from Alabama. I would like to take the NCLEX in Georgia and begin working there. I have noticed lots of jobs in Atlanta want BSN nurses or nurses with 1 yr experience. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get into the nursing workforce over there? What clinics, facilities, etc..will hire a brand new ASN nurse? Must I have a Georgia address to take the NCLEX there? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ))

Also keep in mind the acuity level you will be working in. Most hospitals want hospital experience to hospital experience (in other words, like skills/setting to like...). So if you want to work in ICU you need to develop those skills are a hospital not a hospice where the set of clinical skills will be COMPLETELY different, as well as the pace of service. Hope that helps!

I have an ASN and one semster away from my BSN and 4 years as an LPN. It was rejected from a few big city hospitals.
