:redbeathe okay future and fellow nurses of america lol.. i was recently accepted to university of west ga nursing program starting summer 2009. i am now a student at columbus state university (in columbus ga). if any of you could pick, which school of nursing would you attend or not attend ( between columbus state and university of west ga) and why? a response from everyone is greatly appreciated. i will take a tally of everyone opinion and decide from there

good luck to all!

I attended Columbus State in 2005- 2006 (pretty good college overall). I was not in the nursing program but I have friends and associates that have graduated from Columbus State's nursing program. It is a very good program from what I've heard and from seeing my friends progress on from it. I only know of one person who went to West Ga and they never really commented on the program. I guess if you have been accepted into both programs , you may want to decide based on graduate %,costs, distance etc. If you have NOT been accepted into Columbus State's program yet, then I guess your decision may aleady be made for you. At the end of the day, I don't see you really going wrong with either choice. Good luck to you!

just curious...if you're in columbus already, did you look at columbus technical college's adn (rn) program? it's excellent, has a very high nclex pass rate, and is amazingly affordable. unfortunately, their admission is extraordinarily competitive.

if you have great grades and npax scores, you should consider it.
