That is true about raising the TEAS V score and I am glad that you trying one more time. Who is your advisior? Have you tried getting in touch with a different one?

Well my adviser is Jackson....but i swear she is so hard to contact. The other advisers that I speak to say I need to contact her because she advises last names a-f and I fall in that category. I seriously need advisement and no one will help me. I mean I understand shes busy but 5 emails in 3 weeks countless phone calls leaving messages and actually stopping by on mon and tues? I mean really? I am about to contact the dean. and honestly its giving me second thoughts about trying again in the fall. I may be better off at Gordon or Georgia Perimeter and just start all over and do RN because it seems by the time I get in I could be going somewhere else and actually get somewhere.. Shes nice and all but she shouldnt be an adviser if she cant help her students. So my frustration is really growing more and more! I am so motivated to become a nurse but there is a huge solid brick thats in my way and I cant crack it! UGHHHH

So Kayla....how are things? Uggh I found out I was 2 points away from getting accepted. I wasnt far behind....makes me feel better!! I finally got ahold of my adviser and I have a game plan. I also found out the teas test is going to be graded different in the fall. They are going to take the teas score and add your gpa to it. So if you had a 4.0 gpa and scored a 58.0 on the teas your score would be a 62 total. OMG I hope the new way benefits me. I really want in! How did the meeting go?

Hey I am so sorry I havent been intouch for a while I have been busy taking care of everything. The meeting went great there is ALOT of things you have to do and get done to be in the program, which I am ok with but it is kinda time consuming. We had to get a work pysical, immunization records before school starts and or course I had to get a few shots lol. We also have to do drug test and back ground check after school starts.I'm not complaining I am just telling you what all we have to do.. and I am so glad that they are channing the grading system. I am sure that will help out alot of people. I am rooting for you and two other class mates that are going to take the TEAS this time around. Have you been studying alot? I found that KHAN academy helped me ALOT in the biology part and there is this guy on youtube that makes up songs for his science class and that helped me as well, I think his name is ParrMr and he has a DNA song that is really catchy. That song helped me as far as DNA goes, but he has alot of others than can help too.

Oh wow! That is a bunch and thanks for the heads up. I am actually starting to study for the teas now. I have had a bunch of unfortunate things going on and lots of serious family issues...one of which includes my mother who is nearing death. She has Huntington's disease. Its been so rough. But anyways....I am so stressed out with having to retake this teas. I get so scared when I think of the possibility of not getting in again. I am trying to keep my head up and think positive. Im sure my adviser gets so annoyed when she sees its "Mindy" emailing her! I try to stay in touch with her in hopes that she will see the motivation and drive I have to get accepted into this program. and omg its so darn stressful thinking about how close she said I was from getting accepted! I was 2 points away...just 2 points. anyways.....I have to think positive for this next time. Who are your 2 classmates? Maybe you can encourage them to join on here and we can all keep in touch and form a life long bond.....it would be nice to have friends on the same page as me! oh and Im am going to look up that on you tube. I am down for any new study tips! thanks for that

Your welcome, and one of my clasemates is Lee and the other is dhavi (I hope I spelt that right), and I will let them know about this site.. The first week is kinda intinse there is ALOT of material that you have to know.. we have our first test next tuesday followed by another test on thurs, so if you dont hear from me in a while it is beacuse I am studying or busy doing other things for class..

Oh ok.......good luck on your tests! So do you have to wear scrubs to class yet? Just curious. I am studying for the teas once again. I keep hanging on to your comment..."god will make a way" sometimes I feel that accomplishing this dream is too good to be true. Then I think of my husband ..kids and what you said...and I keep trying. I hope this next teas test is the beginning of my dream.

Thanks and yes we wear scrubs in class but we have a uniform for clinicals..awe well I know that if you study really hard you can pass the TEAS; I think that you have to hang on to your studing skills cause it seems like thats all I really do is go to school and study lol God will make a way. what ever path is right for you it will work out :) you will get there hang on girl

Yes...I know and I will! Though I have debating whether or not to retake the teas test or to use my old score of 64. My gut feeling tells me to use my score, but there is something inside me saying to retake it. Hmmm I just dont know!

I cant tell you what you should and shouldnt do but I will tell you that the TEAS weighs more now.. They changed the system to help people get in better
