Anyone applying to Brenau nursing program, or attended their program?

I'm currently attending chatt tech to finish up my micro and stats class, & I'm transferring to brenau in the fall as well as applying to their nursing program. I was wondering if anyone else is applying, or has attended their nursing program? Im a bit apprehensive since I checked their nclex pass rate and it has declined over the past few years, so I'm looking for any opinions or insight anyone may have regarding their program... Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi! I am considering applying to Brenau's part time program. I had the same questions about the NCLEX scores. I will be taking prerequisites in the Fall and I am going to continue to monitor their progress. Sorry, I don't have anymore information :(.

I applied to Brenau nursing and was accepted for Fall 2012. I decided not to attend because of the poor NCLEX scores and the fact that they are currently on some sort of probation for the scores. I also spoke to several 2012 graduates of the program and they confirmed that it wasn't a good program. I decided to go to NGCSU for my ASN and take the extra year to get my BSN. I didn't see the point of paying that much money for an education ($10K+/semester) when it wasn't a quality education. If you are interested in a private school and don't mind paying tuition check into the nursing program at Piedmont College in Demorest. They have excellent reviews and the NCLEX pass rate has been 100% for the last few years. I wanted to attend Piedmont but when it came time to decide the financial impact of a private education was just too much.

Thanks so much for responding.. The NCLEX rate is concerning and I don't know anyone that has attended their program. I will definitely check out Piedmont college, or I just may end up going similar route as you with ASN then bridge to BSN

I am also applying to Brenau nursing program for May 2013. Are you applying for fulltime or part time? I am only a prenursing student at Brenau, but I do know a couple of people in the nursing program. They tell me it is a lot of work but really like it. So far I love Brenau and I hope to get in and I hope you get in too.

Yes I'm applying for may 2013 full time. I was a little hesitant about the nclex pass rate there at one point, but I spoke with some of the staff and I'm excited to apply there.. I'm starting at brenau this fall to take chemistry and Spanish. Have you taken the Kaplan yet? I hope we get in too(-:

The teachers are great and classes are small. I was use to the classes at a big university where you're just a #. (I transferred from umass) yes, i have taken the Kaplan Nightmare. Just waiting now and hoping my prayers are answered!
