where did you get your best "tip"?

i don't know about everyone else, but i always seek the advice of my friends and family when it comes to school stuff.

anything from where to buy books, what books to buy, what's the best shoes, scopes, best/worst experiences, tips for studying, tips for being a nurse after graduation, etc, etc.

SO FAR, what has been the best advice/tip you have received and from whom?

for me, it was a student nurse that just graduated this past june. she gave me the tip of the nursing care plan book by m. doegnes. even though the instructors loved my care plans (never received an unsatisfactory) it was not public student knowledge that this book existed. i'm ever so grateful for erin recommending this to me as it saved me time plus gave me valuable information to complete my assignments.

Join or start a study group and review by teaching each other what you learned in the readings or in lecture. Works amazingly well.

Best tip for others - get Saunders Comprehensive Review for NCLEX-RN. It was the info from the nursing classes condensed into outline form. It has great practice questions in the book and on CD.

In the same vein as Sandra's post, the best tip I ever got was to read the NCLEX-RN review books while you're in the program, not just when you're trying to pass the test.

This will reinforce a lot of information, and I've seen a few questions taken almost directly from the review books.
