When to apply for job?

So, I graduate from nursing school (BSN) in May and I was just wondering when it would be a good time to start applying for jobs? Right now I can apply for a local job (I already extern at a hospital) and they are hiring and waiting for us to graduate. However, I plan on moving out of state right after graduation and I don't know how the application process works for moving out of state. Should I go ahead and apply now? Can I interview later if I apply now? (since I live several states away and can't make the trip right now) I have no idea how this works and my school isn't helpful at all.

You need to contact the recruiting departments of hospitals/facilities in the area you will be moving to. Some may want you to wait until you have a license and others may not. They may also have nurse residency programs that new grads have to apply to with strict deadlines (some places only accept new grads a couple of times a year now). It's good you are thinking in advance. Good luck :)
