What the heck?? Drug question

I was looking up Ambien (zolpidem) in my drug book for clinical tomorrow. I got to the nursing considerations section of my Mosby's 2001 drug reference, and the first one listed under administer is"after removal of cigarettes to prevent fires".

What is that?? Is it supposed to be funny? Am I missing something?

Ambien does have a way of making the sundowners see the sunset for two days straight....hehehehehe

Wow Heather! That's something! I guess that's what the warning is for. I think they should have made it a bit more clear, but maybe if I had more experience I would have understood it better!

Okay, I just had to look in my Mosby's drug guide after reading this. I have the 2003 (5th) edition and I guess the editors decided that wasn't an important nursing consideration anymore...I didn't see it mentioned anywhere...weird...
