Transferring to another nursing school

Nursing Students General Students

Hello everyone,

If you read my last post about failing my second year of nursing school I just wanted to get advice on transferring to UNB-Humber Second Entry program. My GPA is going to be super low after this semester but I wanted to give it a shot and apply anyways. I just wanted to know if it is worth it and if just going back and completing second year is the best option? Or should I go into a new school that is so much closer to where I live? Also for those enrolled in the Humber nursing program have you met any nursing student transfers? Also how is the prep semester?

When looking at transferring, you will want to talk with an admissions coordinator to see which classes you have already taken will transfer over. You might be surprised to find out you have to retake several courses. Also, some programs do not accept students that have already failed out of other programs, so you may have a hard time finding a new program. I'm not telling you this to discourage you, just to prepare you so you can find the right path for your future. Good luck!
