Hello nursing students I recently used my 2 attempts in the nursing program and I found out that pensacola state college will let you transfer in and start where you left off has anyone done this? Or no how long is the process before they let you in the program? All the other schools say you have to start over nd I have came to far to do thAt any info is helpful

Just checked the PSC website about transfer students, and it states that you will need to provide a letter of eligibility to return to your previous nursing program and be in good standing with the program you are transferring from. Since you used all of your attempts, it is unlikely that you would be considered in good standing with your previous program. Also needed is two letters of recommendation, one from a faculty & one from the program director of nursing from your previous college. It then goes on to list a questionnaire asking if you are eligible to return to the previous program, and asks if you have no more than one failing grade in any nursing course. It also lists that you can not have failed a clinical course due to unsafe clinical practice. Unfortunately, because you have failed two attempts, you are not eligible to transfer in. If nursing is your goal though, you could try the lpn route first & focus on what you could improve to be successful. Sadly, most programs will not accept a student after 2 failed attempts.

PSC is going through a lot of changes right now, one of which is they have recently changed their admissions standards, with the idea of making it more selective. I'm not sure if this applies to transfer students so it's best to call them and inquire about the process. I do know that they will generally dismiss people from the nursing program after two failed attempts. So I'm not sure why they would accept anyone that failed twice in another program. Still, call them and check. Best wishes.

I have already did my research and have applied to psc I wAs asking had anyone who failed out of a nursing program transferred to Psc. They do take your nursing classing as long as you can return to your previous nursing program which I can I just don't want to start over. My director of nursing wrote me a letter to get in to psc the class that you have to take before you can pick up where you left off was closed due to teacher student ratio so it is another option to student who almost complete nursing school and fail and now if you withdraw that's considered a fail so it doesn't mean you got a D more than one time I was asking has anyone did the tranfered option at Psc that's all but thanks for your comments
