Does anyone think there is any use in studying before classes actually start. ( In fall)

I have some friends who are starting to study A&P now to get a head start on class.

Good idea or not???

old-master that is exactly how I want to do it. I have an apt with my advisor this morning.

May the Force be with You:cool: On that.

I study two subjects at a time. Build from the ground up with them too.

I will hopefully get a list of classes and books today. I have to take a math test, If I can do well enough I wont have a math class to take... :-)

Hi Lisa,

I'm like you, I'm taking pre-req's. right now and am trying to be as well prepared as possible for my upcoming classes.

While no one knows exactly what the teacher will cover and consider important information, when it comes to A&P you can bet that there will be memorization of bones, muscles, etc. and that certain chemical processes will most definately be covered.

A&P is usually a pretty tough course for most students at first because of the terminology and sheer memorization that is required so my suggestion to you is to get yourself a coloring book and start memorizing and quizing yourself on the terms. At the least you'll get an understanding of the terminology and be able to recognize names for different body parts and biological reactions.

Here is a website that has really good pictures / identification of each of the body systems. I've learned a lot just by looking at them and quizing myself.
