Hello all, I'm new to this site so please be patient! I'm currently an Medical Assistant at a docor's office in san diego and I'm about to take my TEAS. I bought the study book of ATI but I'm starting to panic. It's very soon but I'm just really worried I'm wondering if it's difficult and what to expect. I'm hopefully going to do the LVN program through Grossmont Health Occupations and I wanted some advice of anyone that has gone there! THANK YOU!!!

If you have the study guide, study it inside and out and you will be fine. My biggest advice to those taking the TEAS, is be sure you know how to do basic math quickly. The math section is short on time and often people run out. The problems are not difficult but they often require many steps in computation in order to get the answer. Your not allowed calculators, and your often adding up several columns, finding averages or percents etc... So know those things inside and out and be able to do these types of problems quickly. Other wise you should do fine. ATI, offers and online practice as well I suggest taking that to see how it's set up.

good luck.

OK, Thank you so much. For the most part I have heard that it was easy, basic highschool level or higher..

Yes, I would say the study guide was intimidating, but it really helped (me atleast) prepare. I have been out of highschool for many many years and never took most of those classes, so the science (my best subject now) was very difficult. I ended up doing really well on the TEAS, but I tell ya I was scared before getting my score that I had guessed at too many.

I thought the study guide was way harder than the actual test.
