Summer school-ugh!

Hey, how is everyone's summer going? I am so aggravated! When last semester was winding down, we had the option of taking summer school...but the requirements were really tough. Well, I applied and was rejected, so I decided to take the summer off. First, I bought a little mini daschund (adorable) b/c by the time summer was over he would be old enough to be left alone for school. Second, I made plans to go to Washington D.C. this summer (I've ALWAYS wanted to go, and my sister arranged it for me). Well, the nursing dept. called and offered me summer school b/c they need more students and were taking some extra. Schedule is : MT - hospital 6a-3p, W8-3, TR10-5! Oh, I'm sooo upset. :angryfire I wanted to go to summer school so bad so I can graduate earlier. I came to school in 2000 and will get out in 06. I am really tired of being in school and ready to work. All of my friends have graduated and left. I called the school and told them I couldn't attend summer-I just know I;ll hate myself for this later. Sorry yall. I had to let out some steam. Have a great summer:)

Sometimes, you need a break!!! Don't regret this, as you WILL get done sooner or later. I went through undergrad working the entire time as well as taking classes every single winter and summer session. I *never* had a break and got worn out quickly. Sometimes you need to let your mind gel for a bit and come back feeling fresh.

That is quite a schedule! So you'd be in the hospital 4 days a week? Ours is two days each week in the hospital, 2 days of skills lab, two days of theory and one day of seminar.

Perfectly understandable. I probably would have said the same thing. You originally made plans for the summer thinking that you didn't have school. Your mind is made up. Then they call and turn everything upside down. Now go and have a great time in D.C. and tell us all about it when you get back.

P.S. School will still be there when you get back! :)

Thanks for all of your support. I am glad now that I said no, I just have to quit trying to rush things so much. I knew when I didn't get accepted I needed a break-but it's one of those things you want, halfway because u know you can't! Yall have a great summer and I'll talk to yall soon :)
