Is it just me or is there something that happens in your last semester (or even last year) in nursing school that causes you to feel like you are crawling to the finish line and you are just edgy to be done with the studying and books? I think I have a bad case of "senior burnout".

i'm burned out but haven't given up, although at times i feel like it.! so glad to know i am not the only one with these feelings floating in many directions.

i too have my application ready for process for graduation. may seems sooooo farrrrrrr awayyyyyyy!

Happens to a lot of people. At P&T interviews 2-3years ago, my teacher was telling parents and I that many students "wind down" generally lack energy/tired toward last the last term.

Thanks Love-A-Nurse and giggles-happy. We're almost "there"...burnout or not. :nurse:

So this is my ailment. There are days I think I can't go on. I am sick of three hour lectures and early clinical hours. I am in school 4 days a week and my study habits have become lax because I am just plain tired. I was always motivated to get good grades but now C= RN.

Yes starcandy. That's the feeling exactly! You are suffering from senior student burnout. But you know what? We only have 3 more months. We may crawl into May, but we're going to survive.

I too, am also tired and lazy!! I am taking 2 classes, community health nursing and senior practicum (adult health). i only have lecture on tuesdays and the rest of the week is used for clinical hours. I am counting down til my graduation date, May 21st. How are you planning on studying for the NCLEX in order to effectively ensure passing on the first try?? Has anyone started applying for RN/GN positions yet, or is it too early?
