1. with respiration i have time counting those folks who when they have respiration their chest barely move. i tried on placing hand stomach but still cant count it. any tips on how to count those folks with very shallow respiration
2. with breath sound for many of my patient when i have them breath i hear nothing but i know their breath sounds are there. i have my stealthoscope press hard and i still get this problem

Auscultate their lung sounds with the stethscope, have them breathe deeply in and out...and then ask them to breathe normally....Listen to that normal breathing for 15 seconds and multiply it by 4. It's so much easier that way. Besides people get weirded out if you start staring intently at their chests.
