Question for those in LPN to RN programs?

Hi everyone!

I have a question for those of you that are currently LPN's and attending classes to become RN's. Do you feel transistion classes are easier for you because of your background? It just seems to me that being and LPN can be a benefit in the long run if you choose to progress from LPN-RN-BSN and beyond?

Also, do most of you continue to work while you are in RN clinicals?

I am in the middle of completing requirements for a LPN to RN bridge program. We are req. to pass a dosage/cal. test, validation test (which is basically everything that is taught the 1st yr of Rn program) & a skills test. You talking about hard!!!! When taking all prereq. It helped a lot already being an LPN. Even with 10+ yrs. experience there was still stuff I learned in A&P and micro. I honestly don't know how some of these students make it without any medical background, it's got to be twice as hard.
