I am currently at a community college where i have taken all of my Pre reqs for nursing school. i recently noticed that i need 4 more other classes to be able to apply to a BSN program but i don't know if i should give in the extra time and take those particular classes. or stick with my plan on going to a ASN Program through a community college which i currently have all of the pre reqs for to begin applying. its like the BSN programs need all of these extra classes which i do not feel like doing after i have already taken so many already. someone please send me some advice. Should i apply to a ASN program seeing how i have all the classes to apply ? or wait and take the extra classes for the BSN?. i currently work for a hospital so they would pay for my BSN once i finish the ASN program. i just feel so confused on all of the different Pre reqs each school needs .

It sounds like you're leaning more towards wanting to go the asn route. Of course there are more pre-reqs required for the bsn programs because in the end you'll come out with a bachelor's degree vs an associates degree. If you'd rather start nursing sooner than later, I would say to go ahead and do the asn route since you know your employer will pay to have you complete your bsn. To play devils advocate, you're only 4 classes away from being ready to apply for the bsn program which personally I would choose. Good luck with your decision. I don't think there is a "wrong choice" for you to choose at this point unless there is a big financial decision you'd have to make between the two programs.

Thank you very much for your advice i appreciate it very much.
