Ok. I have been lurking here for awhile, but now I have a reason to post!!
I got in!!! I will start Macon State (GA) College Nursing Program in August. I am soooooooo happy, excited, ecstatic, elated, overjoyed and thrilled! But now I am also terrified!!! What if I can't do this? The program is hard (as it should be!). I am a good student, but I am so afraid I am going to fail!
Just tell me that everyone feels this way at the beginning. I just need some reassurance!
I am looking forward to posting alot now. I will need lots of advice and will probably be driving you all crazy now!!!
Peace!

Those are normal things you are feeling! I had (and still do) a great fear of failure. This is the fuel I use to succeed. Not to mention I left a very stable job of almost 14 years to do this and I've got a son depending on me to succeed. I've just finished my first semester in nursing school and I did pretty well. YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Just keep telling yourself this. This is what has worked for me.
Just remember good time management skills are priceless.
Good luck to you!

Congrats I know how you feel I start my nursing program also in the fall. I think these feelings are normal because nursing school will be a whole new experience from what I hear. However, like you said your a good student & will continue to be in nursing school. No worries, you'll do just fine:D Keep a positive attitude and don't let it overwhelm you before you even start:roll

Congratulations! It's a tough road but you can do it. I have just one more semester and I still have days that I think, "Am I doing the right thing?" and then something happens and I know this is what I love. Oh, and even though there is lots and lots of stuff to learn and studying to be done, don't forget to take some time out for yourself every now and again so you don't get too overwhelmed with school. Best of luck and have fun!
