:confused:Ok I am about to vent. I am at the senior level in school and I have less than 3 months before I am finished. Since I started nursing school, I have never failed a test. We just started back and I have failed 2 exams. I am very upset and worried. I feel like I have come to far to fail now. This semester is sooo hard. We have 3 different instructors teaching and no test review before or after the test. One of our instructors is new and this is her 1st time teaching. She had the nerve to say, that we were spoiled nursing students who has been spoon fed. Well if spoon fed will help me to finish school and pass the boards, well then so be it. After the test, they give us the answer, we are not allowed to ask why is the question wrong and if we do, she will stop the review, give you a dirty look and keep going. I at least would like to know the rationale behind her answers. B/c if I ever see this question again, I will no how to answer it.

Thats a scary statement.

If you know the correct answer, then you can research the rationale on your own. I'm in my final semester as well, and took my theory classes on line this summer. Because it was on-line, it really wasn't a possibility to review the tests, but she did let us know what we needed to review and why. It was our responsiblity to research the rationale. Don't ask to be spoon fed to pass boards, it won't serve you well in the real world.

Here's the problem with reviewing the rationale. My instructor will give us the correct answer during test review. since we are not allowed to write the question, it's impossible to remember all of the question you got wrong. As for being spoon fed, we always got a pre and post test review. It helps you to understand why the question is right or wrong and it we knew what the focus was on and since she started teaching, most of my class is failing (straight A students also). The problem is not with us, it her. As for the real world I work here at the hospital where I do my clinical so I am well aware of the real world.
