Physical Assessment lab sign off?

We have to do lab sign offs for our complete physical assess. (head to toe) withOUT any flow sheet at all! Has anyone lived through this experience! :chuckle I'm about to wet myself thinking of someone standing there, glaring at me, listening to the heart sounds with me, making sure I check the head, eyes, etc.. We have to do the neuromotor, heart sounds, lung sounds, find all peripheal pulses, etc..

Anyone have any "tricks" on how to get through this and remember everything without a check off list? :imbar I can do it to my friends, dh, kids, but the minute I get in front of our lab instructors I clam!

cant say i ever heard of Erb's point so i looked it up, the first one that came up was for neurology, didnt think that was what you were taking about , so tried again, specifing cardiology.....can't remember learning it and certainly dont use it......interesting

I just did my second performance exam for health assessment last week and Erb's point was one of the check off points for CV. :D

OP- just try and relax as best you can and pretend the instructor isn't there....I know, easier said than done, but that's what I do and it works for me!

In my health assess. class our check off's are split up into 3 different performance tests which makes it easier to handle than one big test. Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll do fine!
