Hi, I'm not in P'cola but I was raised around there and went to UWF my first time around in college.
I am in S. Central FL now and I commute about 110 miles to my BSN program because there isn't one any closer to me!! I am part-time, so that helps alot. I do however have classmates who are full-time and also have about the same commute, though!
I can't believe PJC or UWF doesn't have an accredited program! I know UWF didn't have a nursing program at all when I was there (I graduated there in '92), but don't they have a new one now? Is that why they aren't accredited yet, because they are new? What's with that? My program down here is also only a few years old but they are accredited.
Best wishes whatever you decide!
I think UWF is accredited by the CCNE, but I only have the time, money, etc. to do ADN right now. Oh well. Wow, you are dedicated! 110 miles...phew.Hi, I'm not in P'cola but I was raised around there and went to UWF my first time around in college.I am in S. Is there anyone who goes to school in Alabama because there isn't a nationally accredited ADN program near Pensacola? If so, how do you like it and what is the commute like? Thanks!!
