Which is to say that now, at semester's end when everything looked like it was locking up good, tight and safe till January, the laundromat took ALL of my white school uniforms and ruined them. I can't believe I actually paid these people to take three white customized logo polo shirts, two pair of white scrub pants and a white print scrub top and spot stain them with black grease. Of course, the owner never comes to the premises. The replacement value of all that stuff is around $150.

Tomorrow I have my last clinical and will have to improvise. At least I have a royal blue scrub set in my closet.

I once dropped off my best suit at the cleaners about 5 days before a *BIG* job interview. The day before the interview, two days after it was supposed to be ready, I went to pick it up and it wasn't there (they were a chain store - sent all the cleaning to one location). I needed the suit so badly, and the clerk just totally blew me off - didn't even apologize. I was just enraged. I demanded to know where they did the actual cleaning, drove to that store, and started raising the roof. At one point I begged to be allowed to go in the back and get my (uncleaned) suit from what was probably a giant pile of clothes waiting to be done. OK, I admit it - I came unglued. :imbar  The manager told me I had 30 seconds to leave the store before he called the cops.

This is not like me - I've never made a scene like that, ever, in my life. But it's so frustrating to have your possessions held hostage. :angryfire

So sorry this happened to you - I'd definitely pursue it. They have to have some policy for redos.
